A village bridge which was closed due to a “serious structural defect” has reopened – much to the delight of a nearby pub owner. Stow Causeway Bridge’s condition resulted in an emergency response after Norfolk County Council carried out an inspection at the site in October. The bridge, in Stow Bridge, was closed on October 25 while the county council investigated whether a temporary support could be placed until permanent work is carried out.
