Turkey is still waiting for the United States to clear F-16 fighter jet sales to the country before the parliament in Ankara can ratify Sweden’s NATO membership bid, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Wednesday. “I expect something from you,” Erdoğan said on his return flight from Qatar, referring to the US. “You pass this [F-16 sale] in your Congress and we take these steps together simultaneously,” Erdoğan was quoted as saying by his communication office.
